When is the production of license plates necessary?
The process of manufacturing license plates may be required in several cases:
- During vehicle registration, the owner receives a Certificate of Registration and license plates. If you previously placed your old plates in storage, you will receive them back. If their condition is unsatisfactory, we recommend updating your license plates.
- When purchasing license plates via the Diia app, you will receive an electronic Certificate of Registration. Based on this document, we will produce your license plates.
- In case of loss or damage — if the plate has been stolen, damaged, or has become unreadable, a new license plate must be produced. It will be identical to the one issued during registration at the Service Center.
- For special transport — certain categories of vehicles (taxis, diplomatic vehicles, military and government cars) require special license plates.
How are license plates produced?
The production of license plates is a process that requires precision, compliance with standards, and the use of modern technologies.
The process of producing duplicates strictly follows the same procedure as for original plates and involves certified materials and technologies.
What documents are required to order license plates?

- Painting of symbols – the raised elements are coated with heat-resistant paint that is durable against external influences.
- Final inspection – the finished plates are checked for compliance with standards before being issued to the owner.
